DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado has seen one of the largest drops in gas prices in the nation. According to GasBuddy.com, the average for regular unleaded gasoline for the Denver metro area in February was $4.10. The current average is $3.30. Is lane splitting legal in Colorado? WESTMINSTER, Colo. (KDVR) -- The community is mourning another loss for a popular pair of bald eagles in the Standley Lake area. Standley Lake Regional Park broke the news on Tuesday, announcing their nest fell and the eaglet inside did not survive. DENVER (KDVR) – Many parents have questions about notification rights after learning of the Florida arrest of a cheer coach from Colorado. Travon Booker, 35, is accused of inappropriately touching a minor while alone with that person in a gym. The warrant was issued out of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and said the incident allegedly occurred on Feb. 18. FOX31 received a copy of an email sent by Steele Athletics sent to members stating Travon Booker had been fired immediately after the staff learned of charges against him. A 68-year-old woman walking to an Easter Celebration was killed Sunday, along with a motorcyclist suspected of being involved in an illegal street racing stunt that triggered a deadly multi-vehicle crash. The crash happened around 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Magnolia and Flower avenues in Fullerton, according to the Fullerton Police Department. A small memorial sits on Magnolia Avenue where Antonia Mendez Ruiz, who had been walking with her husband, was struck and killed that morning. Witnesses said an Audi and a motorcycle were speeding, possibly street racing, when they collided with a Toyota minivan making a turn onto Flower Avenue. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. SAN JOSE – A female bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash Monday night in San Jose, police said.The collision occurred in the area of North 1st Street and Interstate 880, according to the San Jose Police Department. As of 9:30 p.m., officers were still at the scene.The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries that were initially described as life-threatening. She was later stabilized and her injuries were downgraded to non-life-threatening.Roads in the area were closed following the crash. (KRON) – The family of the little girl killed in the shooting on I-880 in Fremont continues to try and cope with what happened. A family friend spoke with KRON4 about the events of that tragic night. She says she is trying to stay strong to support the family and speak on their behalf during this unimaginable time. She says the family was driving to find a restaurant to celebrate a birthday when their car was shot at multiple times, killing 5-year-old Eliyanah Crisostomo.
