Cuando los astrónomos Samuel G. Reaction to the death of Chicago Bears great Dick Butkus:___“Dick was the ultimate Bear, and one of the greatest players in NFL history. He was Chicago’s son. He exuded what our great city is about and, not coincidentally, what George Halas looked for in a player: toughness, smarts, instincts, passion and leadership. He refused to accept anything less than the best from himself, or from his teammates. When we dedicated the George Halas statue at our team headquarters, we asked Dick to speak at the ceremony, because we knew he spoke for Papa Bear. Dick had a gruff manner, and maybe that kept some people from approaching him, but he actually had a soft touch. His legacy of philanthropy included a mission of ridding performance enhancing drugs from sports and promoting heart health. His contributions to the game he loved will live forever and we are grateful he was able to be at our home opener this year to be celebrated one last time by his many fans. We extend our condolences to Hele...Fairfax Co. police creating stronger policy on foot chases following deadly shooting

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, are committed to establishing a stronger policy related to foot chases following a deadly shooting that occurred during a chase earlier this year.“When we put a policy forward, we want it to actually be a policy and not just a regurgitation of ‘refer to your training,'” county police Chief Kevin Davis said.According to Davis, the department is currently collecting data on every foot chase that officers are involved in.That specific data collection started shortly after the shooting in February, when Timothy Johnson, who was unarmed, was shot and killed after a security guard said Johnson stole sunglasses from a Nordstrom department store at Tysons Corner Center. Two officers chased Johnson into a wooded area outside the mall, and both officers fired shots. An investigation determined that one of the officers, Wesley Shifflett, fired the fatal shot. Shifflett was fired after the shooting.“We know it’s important,” ...Por qué los jóvenes en China están abandonando sus empleos y organizando “fiestas de renuncia”

DENVER (KDVR) — The recent cleanup of the homeless encampment near the governor's mansion was handled under Denver Mayor Mike Johnston's "House 1000" program. An encampment cleanup at 16th and Sherman was not.Dozens of people in the first cleanup were bused to a shelter, while folks at 16th Avenue and Sherman Streets did not get the same services. Why services offered have varied after Denver homeless camp cleanups Johnston faced criticism from some folks who said he broke a promise to house people after the encampment sweeps, one of which will happen next week.FOX31 confronted Johnston on Thursday night about why this is happening.FOX31: Mayor Johnston, just a quick comment on the encampment being swept up yesterday? Some people were a little upset those people weren't rehoused.Johnston: This is why we were working so hard to bring on units, as right now we have a lot more people in encampments than we have opportunities for housing, so this is what these meetings are about righ...Latest news
